Testing by the TUV Rhineland authority is important for acceptance in the solar cable market. HUBER+SUHNER initiated these tests and passed them successfully. The tried and tested dual classified RADOX® Solar SMART cable will remain part of the solar cable range and is particularly suitable for the UL market.
Suitable for confined spaces
Two cables have been developed for applications with system operating voltages of up to 1000V DC: RADOX® Solar 125 WW and RADOX® Solar 125 RW. RADOX® Solar 125 WW is designed for standard use in PV installations up to 1000V. RADOX® Solar 125 RW is a specialisation of the WW version. The wall thickness of the RW version corresponds to the minimum thickness required by 2Pfg1169/08.07. This results in a slim, very flexible cable which is particularly suitable for use in confined spaces. This cable is slightly more cost-efficient than the standard version due to the thinner wall thickness. It should be noted that the RW version is only approved in accordance with the currently valid 2Pfg1169/08.07. By contrast, the WW version satisfies the current 2Pfg1169/08.07 and also complies with the future EN50618 standard.

The 'light' version is RADOX® Solar 125 RW. This cable has also been developed in accordance with 2Pfg1169/08.07, PV1-F. As the result of its slim design, it is space-saving and highly flexible. Testing in accordance with 2Pfg1169/08.07 is pending.
